There's no upfront cost for hosts or partners. Staylayer earns a small platform fee from a percentage of the commission generated on each successful referral booking. You pay nothing until a booking is attributed to your referral code — so we only win when you do.

When a guest books with a local partner and mentions their host code, the partner logs the booking in their Staylayer dashboard. A commission rate — agreed upfront between you and the partner — is applied to the booking value. Staylayer takes a small platform fee from that commission, and the remainder is added to the property manager's payout balance.

Each host–partner pair has a unique referral code. Guests receive this code on their host's branded recommendation page. When they book, they show or mention the code to the business. The partner logs the booking with that code in their Staylayer dashboard, which automatically ties the booking to the right host and calculates the commission. Referral codes are permanent — they're printed on physical materials and will never change.

Guests access their host's branded recommendation page via a QR code displayed at the property, a link shared before arrival, or a link on the PM's website. The page shows curated local experiences alongside a clear instruction to mention their host code when booking. No app required — it's a standard web page that works on any phone.

Partners use a simple form in their Staylayer dashboard. They enter the referral code they received from the guest, select which offer was booked, and enter the booking value. In V1, this is a manual process. Automated integrations with FareHarbor, Checkfront, and other booking systems are on our roadmap.
