Local Business Partners
Partner Agreement
By creating a Staylayer account you agree to these terms.
This Partner Agreement ("Agreement") governs your participation in the Staylayer platform as a local business partner ("Partner"). Read it carefully — it describes your obligations, how commissions work, and how Staylayer earns its platform fee.
What Staylayer does
Staylayer is a referral attribution platform connecting Property Managers (referring hosts) with local Partners. When a guest discovers your business through a host’s curated recommendation page and redeems a Staylayer perk link with you, Staylayer logs the booking automatically and a commission is owed to the host.
Our role is to provide the platform infrastructure: guest-facing recommendation pages, perk link generation, a partner-facing redemption verification page, a fallback booking log dashboard, organization codes, and commission tracking. You only owe commissions on bookings attributed through this flow.
Commission rates
Commission rates are set at the offer level. When you create an offer on Staylayer, you specify a commission rate — a percentage of the total booking value that will be shared with the referring Property Manager when a guest uses a referral code.
You set your own commission rates. Staylayer does not impose minimum or maximum rates. Commission rates reflect an arrangement between you and the Property Managers who feature your business on their guest recommendation pages.
Commission rates must be greater than zero. Staylayer does not support non-commission offers.
Platform fee
Staylayer retains 25% of the commission amount generated on each confirmed referral booking. This is the platform fee. The remaining 75% is remitted to the Property Manager.
You are responsible for the full commission amount as set on your offer — not just the portion that reaches the Property Manager. The platform fee is always deducted from the commission before it is paid out.
Example: A guest books a $200 tour at your 15% commission rate. The commission is $30. Staylayer retains $7.50 (25% platform fee). The Property Manager receives $22.50. You owe $30 total on that booking.
Redemption verification requirements
When a guest presents a valid Staylayer perk link at the time of service, you are required to complete the redemption verification on the Staylayer redemption page by entering your organization code. Verification should be completed at the moment of service whenever practical — typically at check-in, when ordering, at payment, or at the end of the experience, depending on the redemption timing you’ve configured for the offer.
To complete a verification you need the perk link URL the guest presents and your organization code. The redemption page handles the rest, automatically calculating commission and recording the attribution.
If a guest mentions a Property Manager but does not present a perk link, you may log the booking manually using the booking log in your Partner dashboard. Manually logged bookings should be entered within 7 calendar daysof the booking date. We expect manual logging to be a fallback path used only when the primary perk link flow was not used; if you find yourself logging the majority of bookings manually, please contact Staylayer support so we can troubleshoot why guests aren’t generating perk links.
You are responsible for the accuracy of all redemption verifications and manually logged bookings. Falsifying booking values, completing verifications on perk links not actually presented, or otherwise misrepresenting bookings is a material breach of this agreement and may result in the suspension or termination of your account, plus reversal of any commission claimed in error.
Invoicing and payment
Commissions are invoiced on a monthly basis. At the end of each calendar month, Staylayer generates an invoice for all confirmed referral bookings logged during that period. Invoices are sent to the email address on your partner account.
Invoices are due within 14 days of issuance. Payment methods accepted are communicated with each invoice. During the early access period, accepted methods include bank transfer, Venmo, Zelle, and other agreed means.
Booking records remain in pending status until your invoice is paid. Property Managers are notified when invoices are overdue. Non-payment within 30 days of the invoice due date may result in suspension of your ability to receive new referrals through the platform and forfeiture of any outstanding amounts.
Guest perks
If you offer a guest incentive — such as a complimentary item, a discount, or bonus time — described in the “Guest Perk” field of your offer, you are required to honor that perk when a guest presents a valid Staylayer perk link at the time of redemption.
Failure to consistently honor advertised perks may result in offer removal or account suspension. Staylayer reserves the right to act on guest or Property Manager complaints regarding unfulfilled perks.
Organization codes
Each Partner is assigned a unique 6-character organization code by Staylayer. You use this code to verify guest perk link redemptions on the Staylayer redemption page. Your organization code is permanent once assigned and will not change.
You are responsible for keeping your organization code reasonably confidential within your business. The code should be known to staff who handle redemption verification but should not be shared publicly, posted online, or given to guests. Sharing or transferring your organization code to any party outside your business is prohibited and may result in account suspension.
Platform attribution
Staylayer’s referral attribution data is platform-confidential. Individual Property Manager booking volumes — how many guests a specific host sent to your business — are not disclosed to you. You may view aggregate platform metrics (total referral clicks received through the platform, total bookings logged) but never a breakdown by individual Property Manager.
You agree not to contact Property Managers directly for the purpose of establishing direct referral relationships that bypass the Staylayer platform. Staylayer’s value to all participants depends on all booking activity flowing through the platform.
Offer accuracy
You are responsible for keeping your offer descriptions, pricing, photos, and contact information accurate and current. Staylayer may remove or suspend offers that contain inaccurate or misleading information, are the subject of sustained complaints, or no longer represent an actively operating business.
No long-term commitment
There is no minimum contract period or subscription fee. You may stop accepting referrals, deactivate your offers, or close your partner account at any time. Closing your account does not extinguish any obligation to pay outstanding invoices for bookings already logged prior to account closure.
Changes to this agreement
Staylayer reserves the right to update these terms, including the platform fee percentage. Material changes will be communicated by email to your registered address at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date of any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
If you do not agree to updated terms, you may close your account before the effective date. Any outstanding invoices remain payable regardless of account status.
Early access
Staylayer is currently in early access. Platform features, commission tracking tools, invoicing methods, and these terms may evolve before public launch. We will communicate all material changes directly to active partners before they take effect. Early access participants play an important role in shaping the platform — your feedback is welcomed and actively incorporated.
